USER GUIDE FOR VOLUNTEERS:
Ready to find volunteer opportunities (NEEDS) around our community?
GETTING STARTED
Setting Up Your Volunteer Profile
Create an account. Begin by going to Create your user account
Build your profile by indicating your causesyou are most passionate about and your volunteer interests. By providing this information, you will make it easier for United Way of Anderson County - Ridge and Valley Volunteers to recommend the organizations and volunteer opportunities that match your values and preferences. You will also have a chance to FAN agencies that are registered on the site. You'll receive emails whenever those agencies post new opportunities or events.
Once signed up, your profile menu is located in the top right-hand corner. To view it, click on your initials (or your profile picture, if you've already uploaded one).
Your volunteer dashboard is your "home page" for Ridge and Valley Volunteers. It contains all kinds of information to help you find volunteer needs, view your past volunteer efforts, and see what's going on with organizations in our community!
How to Find a Volunteer Opportunity (Need)
Go to Ridge and Valley Volunteers. If you are not logged into the site automatically (you will need to have an account for that), you'll see the VOLUNTEER NOW button in the middle of your screen. If you're logged in automatically, you will be taken to your volunteer dashboard. From there, just click the NEEDS button in the sidebar menu, and you'll see the listing of Needs. To volunteer:
View Details: Click the "View Details" button to read the full description of the opportunity.
Respond: Click the blue "Respond" button, usually located in the top right-hand corner of the page.
Complete Information: If prompted, fill out any required qualification questions or forms, and click "Submit Qualifications".
Select Shifts: For ongoing needs with shifts, choose the specific shifts you can attend.
