Who We Are

Catholic Charities of East Tennessee (CCETN) was established January, 1989 as an affiliate arm of Catholic Charities USA, the largest private social service network in the United States. CCETN was founded to respond to the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals and families across East Tennessee, regardless of race, religion, gender identity, or income. Our organization serves 36 counties and provides compassionate, community-based programs that are grounded in the belief that every person has inherent dignity and the potential to thrive when supported.

What We Do

We provide the following social service programs: Adoption, Counseling, Disaster Relief, East Tennessee Collaborative, Food Insecurity, Legal Services for Immigrants, Mobile Ultrasound Clinics/Pregnancy Help Centers, and Sheltering programs for endangered children, adults with mental illness, older adults experiencing homelessness, and at-risk adults with HIV/AIDS.
